MADDISON AULD
YOUR Naturopath
Hormones don’t misbehave in isolation.
Our Story
I’m Maddison Auld — naturopath, educator, and women’s hormone health specialist — and I work with women who have been told their symptoms are normal, in their head, or something they just have to live with.
My work sits at the intersection of evidence based naturopathy, functional testing, and traditional herbal medicine. I specialise in cycle irregularity, post pill recovery, ovulation support, fertility preparation, and the often missed role of stress, nervous system load, and gut health in hormone dysfunction.
At Brightfolk Naturopathy, we don’t chase symptoms. We look for patterns.
Hormones don’t misbehave in isolation.
Irregular cycles, PMS, PMDD, acne, fatigue, anxiety, and fertility challenges are rarely caused by a single deficiency or diagnosis. They are usually the result of overlapping stressors — metabolic strain, gut dysfunction, nutrient depletion, poor hormone clearance, and chronic nervous system activation.
My Approach
Using functional pathology, DUTCH hormone testing, microbiome analysis, and genetics where appropriate
Root Cause Focused

Gentle but precise
Especially for sensitive nervous systems, supplement-reactive clients, and those with MTHFR or trauma history

Every herb, nutrient, and food change has a job to do. Treatment plans that work with your physiology, not against it. I don’t believe in protocols you have to white knuckle your way through. Healing should feel supportive, not punishing.
Clincally Stategic
MY VALUES
Brightfolk was created to move away from fear based wellness and rigid hormone rules.
I believe in:
-
I guide you to create real, lasting change by helping you to understand how your body works at a deeper level
-
Every prescription I utilise is backed by cutting edge and up to date science- whilst honouring our traditional roots.
-
I am not here to lure you away from medications or conventional treatments- instead I am here to support your choices to give you life changing results
Beyond the Clinic
Alongside my clinical work, I create educational content for women and practitioners on:
Hormone testing interpretation
Genetic variations and hormone metabolism
The gut–brain–hormone connection
Cycle literacy and ovulation health
I also train and mentor practitioners in clinical reasoning and nutritional compounding, with a strong focus on safety, nuance, and individualisation.
